Jackson Ms; driving to Natchez, and Grenada Lake

Thur.  What a day!!! The guys cut a metal door and put a window insert into it.  Finished caulking the two doors we put in Wed. There were five of us left and one pot pie it was better today for lunch.  That evening we went to one of the boys house and had dessert and a nice talk.
Fri. we slept in, a final trip to Lowe's, finished our paper work and turned everything in. It is so nice to be done. This afternoon we went on a 10 mile bike ride on the Natchez Trace going north with Mike and Kathleen. On our way home we ate at a Mexican restaurant(it was horrible).

above flowers on a fence  below at the Ms. craft center he was making hair pins
oh yeah I forgot to mention that Linda ran over this three foot poisonous snake on our bike ride.  She saw the snake and could not react in time so she ran over the head and lifted her legs.

Sat. I was able to get the truck and rig washed.  We went to Jan and Brian Stapelton (friends from Fort Myers COC) home for Mexican.  They had a big layout of food.  It was delicious afterwards we played Mexican train where Brian won.

Sun. We went to Sunnybrook Retirement Center for church service. One of the ladies saved quartz, rubies all different types of stones and she showed us her collection. It was very fascinating. We went to Newk for lunch for a buffalo pizza it was great.

Mon. We got up and drove to Natchez on the Natchez Trace Pkwy going south.
above is new natchez trace below is the old route

we stopped by many old cemetery's and churches

when we got to Natchez there were old houses along the Mississippi river

Tues. Today started out so good until we connected the lights to the truck.  Then a warning light came on (wire fault on trailer)  Then we spent the next three hours calling Ford and the folks that fixed our brakes.  We found the problem after Linda got all the food out of the frig. and our clothes packed for some more nights at Sunnybrook cottage 4. It was the "brake away switch" that had been pulled which causes the brakes to activate.  Once we took off the neg. post of the battery the truck and rig rolled forward and the emg. light went off.  We then put everything back in frig;  ate and left for Grenada Lake and as you can see we have a beautiful view.
Wed. It started raining at two this morning and rained off and on all day.  Linda did make homemade waffles and soup. We drove around and saw the other campground it has water, sewer, and elec. and a woods view we like the water view better.
We had dinner at Jake and Ribs. the pulled pork and catfish were great. After church we went to downtown Grenada here is a memorial to the civil war.
