THANKSGIVING

What a fast trip to Florida. We left Wed. at 2:30 a.m. and had a traffic free trip till Gainsville toTampa. We arived at my folks to surprise them with a early visit.  It was so nice to see my Mom out of the hospital and doing fairly well.  It bothered me to see her legs so swollen and seeping.  Her strength was weak but Linda and dad was able to get her moving (now let me tell you how loving my young bride is.  She helped my  Mom in her rough times lets leave it at that).  On Thanksgiving we were able to go to there favorite restaurant Skidder.

They were all happy to see them and we had dinner with a couple from Ireland( some friends m/d meet at the restaurant).  We left there to go to Tammys for another big dinner.

 Even though we were there for a short time we did a lot. Fri. black shopping at midnight I got a new printer and Kenn, Tam, and Hope got there goodies.  That night we went to Disney to see the lights and gingerbread houses and carousels done in tons of chocolate and of course a trip to the beach resort for there famous " kitchen sink" ice cream( a scoop of every kind of ice cream and every topping they have followed with 1 can of whipping cream!!!!).

 On Sat. we went to New Smyrna Beach the kids all went swimming and we played in the sand.

Sunday we left again at 2:30 a.m. and got stuck in traffic at Chattanooga Tn. for 2 hours and it rained most of the way home.  On Tues. we went to a free Amy Grant consert at Lipscomb College.  It was the lighting of the Christmas Tree.  Both Jens and Shannons family were there.  we were able to take a picture with the grandchildren and Santa.

                                     

Weekend before Thanksgiving

On Saturday we had Jen. Chris, Mackenzie, and Katie over.  It was the first time Chris and Jen were at the park.  We took a long walk along the shore skipped rocks and picked up trash.  We had a great meal that Linda cooked and smorebars over the campfire we built.  On Monday we surprised  Xander, Diego, and Lilimarie by getting them out of school early and playing with them the rest of the day.  Linda made dinner for everyone and we came home. On Tues. I just got word that my Mom got home from the Hospital.  We will be praying that all will work for the best for her and dad. On Wed. we will be coming to Fl. for Thanksgiving.

WEEK THREE AND FOUR

On Sat.12th Shannon was in a 5k run for 5 folks that lost there lives at a bike toy for tots run.  After the race we were able to take the kids to a park.

 We were given a list of work they would like us to do. We scraped and painted the front gate. On 11/17 we meet old friends from Ft. Myers Ron and Judy Jones and his mother at Bob Evans for dinner. We then went to Opryland Hotel to see the Dreamworks Holiday Shrektacular. Then we went to the lighting of the tree. Topped it off with ice cream in 30 degree weather!!!!!!!!!

Week Two in Nashville

On Fri. I went to a  Cardiovascular Dr.  who  is going to have me have a nuclear stress test on Wed.. After that we went shopping then meet Betty, Kari, Steve, Addi,at Jens. Sat. after breakfast and bible study we went to the Buchanan Log House.  It is the second oldest log cabin in Tn.it was having a free day.

Stone Hall an open house for greenway in Hermitage.(also free day)

On Tues. we went to have the hitch looked at only to find out that it was not put in right. We contacted the rv place and told them and they will only pay for $300 of the repair.  We want the slider to work so we are having it done and should pick it up Wed. afternoon. On Wed. morningIi went and had my blood work done then my nurcler stress test.  The Dr. read the report and said that everthing is fine.  He will call when we hear about the blood test.





Our first week in Nashville

                                                        WE continue enjoying our place here..

 We helped Jen and Chris with cleaning and painting their new home. Thur. morning we got a call from my dad saying my mom fell at 2:30 a.m. and broke her hip. She had surgery Fri. morning and is doing great. Also on Fri. we drove to Clarksville to see LiliMarie get her ab honor roll award.

Sat. we went to a 5k  race for breast cancer.  Al and Shannon ran the race and we watched with five of the grandchildren.  Afterwards we had the grandkids come to the park. Al and Shannon went to help Jen and Chris move. We had a campfire where we cooked hotdogs and had smores. We made"spider  cookies. Then walked around the park the kids ran up and down rock piles and played down by the water jumped from rock to rock. Later Al and Shannon came with  pizzas thenthey went home.

Sunday we went to church then to Jens to help with more moving. On Mon.they had to paint there apt. before giving them keys.  Then they got the girls ready for halloween.  We were able to get things reorginized in the bottom of the rig. We found somethings that we do not need.  Tues. Linda went to gyn Doctor and got a check up.  New meds. and she is fine. We walked around the park here it is so nice and the weather is great. It was 70 today alot warmer than it has been.  We went to our chiropractor friend Dr. Mynster  and both got an adjustment(long over due).  Jim and Linda
