Our First Stay at Thousand Trails

Fri. morning we had breakfast, went to play putt putt, played horse shoes with the boys ( Bryce got his bad finger in between two shoes) and a swim.  After lunch we played pool, ping pong, air hockey, and jenga before Kenn came to pick up everyone.

Then Lin and I went to my folks for pizza and a visit.  Sat we slept in and caught up on some bills and paper work. That night we went to see Laughing Bird. A husband and wife team that sang, told stories, jokes, and played many different instruments. We both  enjoyed the evening. Sun. after breakfast we went to church service here at the park. A family gave the service  mom the piano, three girls the violin, son trumpet, and dad preached. After a walk in the park we did laundry and Tam. Hope and Bryce came to visit.  Kenn and Brendan went to see Tiger Woods and other golfers at the golf match in Orlando. Bryce came to spend the night.

Monday was a great day we were able to pick up our income tax from the CPA and get our fuel filter replaced. It is hard to believe we have 19000 miles already. After our truck was fixed we picked up the kids at school then played with the kids and had dinner at Tams. Tues we got ready to leave tomorrow and then to Tams. I picked up the kids at school then Linda made cube steak, mash potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower. I was also able to wash the truck and play golf again with the boys while Linda, Tam, and Hope played cards. Wed. we started to go to Jackson Ms.  We made it to Tallahassee.  John and Mary came over we had pizza, fruit,dessert and coffee. We had a great visit and it was the first time both has seen the 5th wheel.

Tammys surgery and St Patricks weekend

Thur. after working at the school we got ready to go to Tams. Fri. early Kenn and Tam went to the Hospital for Tams surgery.  They got home early Sat. and her surgery went well except for air in her body that haS to be absorbed by the body.  She had 4 places for the robotic surgery. The kids made her get well posters.

On Fri. the kids made Leprechaun traps and set them out with tricks to trap him.Sat. after seeing the Leprechaun came upset the patio furniture, put the balls in the pool and gave them a note and gifts. Kenn made green pancakes.  We went to the boys baseball game then to 7-11 for slurpees.

Linda and Hope made corn beef and cabbage and green corn bread for dinner. Everyone liked it and asked for more. Sun. morning we had coffee cake which I made the night before. After church we went to Sam's for pizza and brought home chicken and strawberry cake for desert.Linda and Tam had a salad at home while they waited for the rest of us. Tam is still in alot of pain while the kids were outside playing Linda and Tam took a walk she did well. Mon. we got up early so Linda could go to a 7 a.m. dentist appt. She has one filling replaced and got her teeth clean. After breakfast we went to the library then to the park next door. After nap we took the boys to ball practice.

Tues. we went to LaMasa RV to get the hot water fixed and a leak under the sink looked at.  They did a great job fixing everything and were so nice.  I wish all RV places were like them.  After that we drove to Thousand Trails to set up camp for the week.  We went exploring and found they were playing bingo tonight.  We played and had a great time.  The only thing that we won was the lady next to us gave away homemade fudge.  Thur. we got up early went to Starbucks and had breakfast(coupon for free oatmeal!!!!).  Then to Kenn's office for an adjustment.  We picked up the kids there and they came to spend the night.  After we got home we went exploring then went  and played  putt putt, in for a quick swim, then lunch and nap.

Our Last Week at Mt Dora

Thur. we cut a hole in the boys baseball locker room for a small a/c and window.  Linda went to the girls home and washed windows. That night we went with all the sojourners to the girls dorm for dinner. They had all the dorm folks there along with some of the single mothers.  We had a great time and it was neat to see the new dorm. Fri we went to LaMesa RV to get the water leak fixed and find out why our hot water heater did not work.  While there the had a lunch for us then we went shopping at Sanford Mall.  Sat. after breakfast we went to Tams to see them and Jens family.  The boys had a ball game.

After the game Kenn, Chris, and the kids went for a slurpees and we went to Sams to get pizza and dinner.  The kids went swimming, we had dinner, then we played cards and then the kids put on a show for us.

Sun after church we went shopping then back to camp.  Washed the truck then back to church.  Mon.
we finished up the preschool table by staining the bottom legs then sealing it. Then we finished the baseball a/c window project that we were working on. Thur. night we were invited to the boys home for dinner. Chris and Tonya (house parents) had a great dinner planned and we enjoyed the time to get to know the boys and their two daughters at dinner time. Tues. and Wed. we went to the varity shop that they have and took down and replaced the facit on the side of the building. Tomorrow is our last day at Mt. Dora's christian home and bible school.  We really enjoyed our first sojourn place.

Second week of Sojourney

Thur. we had a good day at Mt Dora Bible School. After dinner we played cards and lost for the second time to the girls. Fri. we met our new CPA and gave him some of the paper work. The rest is soon to be in the mail. After going out to lunch, movie(Artist)  and shopping we went to Tammy to see Hope and Kenn get ready to go out for the father/daughter night. After they left we went with the boys to Jason's Deli and Petco.

On Sat. we went to Bryce and Brendan baseball game. They are on the same team and playing tee ball.

That night we had pizza at Sams with the boys, Kenn and Tam. Sunday went to church then out to lunch at Chilli's. We went to visit Miki Weaver.  We had a nice visit sitting and talking.  We then went to a singing class at Mt. Dora CofC.  Monday we had a bad start for the water heater was not working. Now the fun of finding the time and place to get it fixed..I got a new partner for Jerry went to another sojourn. I was able to finish the wood work on the broiler room and start a new table for the Toddlers. After we got home we tried many things and still no elec. hot water.  We are lucky for the hot water also works on gas. Tues. and Wed. we worked on the table.  Linda painted around the broiler room and behind the kitchen.
