Carol in hosiptal and Moms service

Thur. Diane, Betty, Linda, Mary, Mike and John were all able to get up to Carols to be with her.I did some more waxing and went to Dads for lunch at Skidders.  We went to Publix and got some food for the Sunday B-day party for mom . We also got steaks for dinner which we did on the grill. Dad had a bedroom door I finished painting.  Fri. It has been a whirlwind with Carol.Her right-sided paraylis is improving alittle. She is more stable now and the family is slowly leaving and Linda was able to come home with Shannon's family who stopped to see Carol on there way to Fl. Jen's family also stopped to see Carol on there way to Fl. I spent a total of 12 hours waxing the 5th wheel.  I was so happy to get it done. I went to Dads and fixed sloppy joes for Sunday. Dad had the door just about hung so I helped him finish hanging it. We had frozen turkey pot pies for dinner with pie and ice cream for dessert.  Sat. at 4 in the morning the Alvarez and Linda got here.  Everyone found a place to crash and we didn't get up till 9.

They went to KOA Campground where the Niebrugges and Williams were already checked in.  They were able to get cabins side by side. We spent the afternoon at Dads the kids went swimming  and we had pizza for dinner.(we are having tropical storm Debbie with rain but that didn't stop the kids from swimming) Sunday we were to rent a boat and do a service for Mom at sea.  Debbie saw it different.  It rained all day so a different plan.  Our girls and us meet Dad at Skidders for breakfast.

We then went to Sams and picked up the cake and Publix for the balloons. At Dads we had the sloppy joes and hot dogs for lunch and did my service with everyone. Kenn led singing and Chris read how the song "What a friend we have in Jesus" got written. Al read four scriptures from the Bible. We all shared moments of Moms life.  After that we got the balloons and wrote messages to Mom and let them go into the sky.

Then we celebrated Mackenzie, Hope, Diego, Katie, Brendan, and Mom birthday with a cup cake birthday cake. We spent the rest of the afternoon swimming and playing games (Debbie cont. to blow 30mph wind gusts and torential rain but that didn't stop the kids from swimming)

The Niebrugge left for home then the Alvarez and Williams came back to the cabins to find them flooded.

The Alvarez went to be with the Niebrugges and the Williams left to go home(Tn,).  We had to go to the club house once becuz of weather.  It is very different being in a rv during storms.  We were up and down all night watching the weather. Mon. after a windy night of up to 60 mph gusts of winds and over 12 inches of rain we got out of bed at 9:30am. Tues. we went to Dads after he called the garage would not go up.  We stopped by the beach on the way there to see it gone. The sand dunes are washed away. When we got there we  found that part of the fence was down where the pool pump was and that caused it to have air in it.

Wed Dad called again to say the insurance person would be there. We just missed him we did find out he is not coverwed by wind damage. We went to Home Depot for fence post and nails. We worked all day getting the fence up and replacing a post and making sure all the staples were in good. What a blessing it was to see the pool person. He came a day early and fixed the pipes to the pool pump. We were also happy to see that the pipe was the only damage to the pool. Also Good news on Carol as its been alot of ups and downs She was finally able to move to a stepdown unit and she was able to walk a short distance on her own. A miracle, thank you God for the return of  her right side.  She still does not have total strength back yet but very close!!!!!  She will be started on coumadin for along time till all the clot is dissolved.  She is still having alot of nausea and vomiting which comes in spurts.

Fathers day week-end

Thur. we went to dads to make sure we were ready for garage sale on Fri.On the way home we took in a sunset.

Fri we had a few folks come and they bought a few items. Almost all the rest of the items we took to Hope Hospice. Sat . Tammy and Kenn and family came. We had lunch at Sam's then to Dads for a swim and Fathers day dinner (ribs, shells, and corn). After dinner Dad, Kenn, Brendan and I went to the Rays/Marlins baseball game. we stayed for 9 innings and the game went to 15 Innings before the fins won. Brandan was happy with that.

Sun. Dad took us to Skidders for a filet mignon he owed us. We even had desert, their famous  chocolate cake!!!Oink Oink!!

Mon. we took the truck in for a recall in the exhaust.  They took us to Dads and we ate lunch and got things ready for Moms funeral service on Sunday.  They came and picked us up we went to Walmart and I had my eyes reexamined my left eye is blurry all of a sudden. They found nothing wrong except start of cataracts(tough getting old) and my left eye changed alot so need a new strength. That is the pits because just got new glasses in Nov. Tues. we went to Walmart to get my new glasses and they said the change was not that much different and asked if I keep going back to my old glasses.  They said that might be why the glasses are bad.  Wed. we found out that Carol had a cerbral venus sinus thrombosis with right side paralysis.  Mary had just taken Carols cat into the Vets when she came out Carol was having a seizure. she called 911 they took her to the same hosiptal then after she got stable over to Emory hosp.  They told our family it was life threatening.  We all flew up to be with her. We covet your prayers.

FIRST WEEK BACK AT ST. PETE

Thur. we went to dads and got all the items in the spare bedroom priced and ready for the garage sale on Sat. I also cleaned the pool and filter. Linda made a pot roast in our little crock pot for dinner.

Fri. we priced the stuff in the garage and the rest of the things in the house.  We are praying for good weather Sat. It has been raining since we got back.

Sat. what a great day for a garage sale.We got up at 5:30 to get to dads at 6. We worked hard for 2 hours to get things ready for the sale then we sat and had coffee cake.

 We had a fair flow of folks all morning.  In all we only sold a couple of the pieces of furniture.  Sun. we got to church an hour early(by mistake believe me!!) so went shopping and found two camping chairs we were looking for on sale.  After church we got our hair cut, came home ate then went to a movie in city of St Pete.  After the movie we went on a walk on the pier had dinner then went to see the sunset on the beach, now that is a great day.

Mon. we left to go to Fort Myers one of our dear friends went to be with the Lord after a fight with cancer Bonnie Guttery. We met Mike and had lunch, spent the afternoon with him then had pizza and wings,with the whole family.

On Tues. after breakfast we met Jim and Lana at Barnes and Nobel had coffee then Linda and Lana went to Chico's warehouse to find some nice outfits.  Then we celerbrated Lana's birthday. 

Then we went to Linda and Ted Hanson house for a visit .  Then to church for Bonnie's service.  After visiting with alot of folks we came home. On the way we saw a wonderful sunset with a rain storm on each side of it.  Just felt Bonnie was saying hi.

Wed. We went to dad's to find that he just bought a new car a white Malibu.  He drove us to Skidders and Linda and I got our " burger fix". We also got alot done and talked about the 24th when the kids are coming for the funeral. 

Our 2nd week in Orlando

Thur. Linda got up early to see the sun rise. Then the rest of the day we cleaned and Put the air tubes of the sleep #. bed under it.

Fri. We went to Tams to have Brendan's b-day.  We gave Tam and Kenn a date night. We made rice crispy cupcakes with chocolate icing, homemade pizzas with the kids, went for a swim, and did a craft. We had a great time with them.

Sat. Jim and Lana Perkins came up for the weekend. We played cards (the girls won most of the games) we took walks and just relaxed.  It was a weekend that all of us needed. Sunday after they left we read and took a swim.

Mon. we got ready to leave for St. Pete again. Tues. we left went threw a rainstorm but got here safely.  We were able to get the same lot that we had before. We went to dads and had dinner. Wed. we went to dads helped clean the garage and the pool.(one step closer to garage sale)  We did some trimming on the trees.
