ON OUR WAY TO SOUTH CAROLINA/VISIT CAROL AND FAMILY

Thur.  All went well getting ready for our trip.  We even got hitched the first time we tried.  The camp ground Lees Country Campground is close to the Fla-Ga border. We were able to keep the truck hitched to the 5th wheel.  On Fri. we drove to Macon Ga. We had a safe trip and the campground is so so but a good place to stop.  We went to Chick-fil-a for dinner dressed as cows  (this is their yearly celebration the 2nd Fri. in July)they gave away a free dinner to all dressed as cows.

We drove into Macon Ga. to see the history of Macon. We saw many old homes. There shape and designs were very interesting. We went to Joshua coffee shop for muffin and coffee. They make their own coffees with special flavors using flavored oils etc. So good you know we had to buy some.  The flavor was White choc.raspberry truffle. Visited Wesleyan College, went to a B/B "1842 Inn" (the lady at the desk took us through the house it was neat to see all the rooms decorated in different ways), saw Bond St. where there were alot more of the old homes Hay House was one of them, and went to High St. Church. We left there and went to a peach orchard. We had peach cobbler (as Lin said to die for) and peach ice cream. On the way home at Piggly Wiggly they had a fund raiser for MD. I had a thick hamburger and Linda had a hot dog with cole slaw, pepper jack cheese, and bacon.

Sun. After a bible study and breakfast we hitched up and drove to Cummings Ga. Everything went very smooth. The camp site has a great view out the rear of the unit. We drove to visit Carol afterwards we meet Amanda and Heidi at BJs the we had an ice cream while we visited.

Mon. We were awoken by a air blast sound just to find out there were two air balloon lifting off.  They were neat to watch as the lifted up up and away.  We picked up Carol and drove to Dahlonega.  We walked around the square and bought some truffle's, had a wonderful lunch then more chocolates  and then Starbucks coffee. Later at Carols we had a pot roast and fixens form the crock pot.

Tues.  We went with Carol, Heidi, and Amanda to Carols Dr. appt.  It was a very informative meeting where they got alot of questions answered.  They said Carol is doing better thank the Lord. We went in the afternoon to see Joshua,s new business. Wed. we got up and enjoyed the view of the RV as we did our bible study then we went and spent the day with Carol.  She had a therapist come in so we got to hear what she had to say.
