St Pete Fla. to Fort Myers Fl.

Thur.we got up and met dad at our club house for biscuits and gravy.  Then we went on a bike ride to the bank (2.2miles).  After we got back we drove to Tampa so we could pick up our Surge Guard RV power protection for the rig.  It turns off when the elec. is low at 102v or high at 132v. When we got back we hooked it up then visited some friends we met at the RV show. At dads he made us spaghetti for dinner !!!Yum Yum!!!!

Fri. we went to dads for lunch then trimmed his tree

We went for a walk on the beach and found this bird sleeping. Every once in a while he would open his eye a little(very eerie)

After dinner ( Linda's split pea soup) we stopped at Treasure Island beach and watched the sun set.

                                                                                 
Sat. we got in our bike ride before going to dad's.  Linda made BLT for lunch and dad took us to Denny's for dinner.  We didn't have time for a sunset but the full moon was great.

     
Sun. we went to church then, ate lunch I went to dad's (Linda was not feeling well). We watched a movie then had leftovers.  I went and picked up Linda and we watched the sunset.

Mon.  We got the laundry done and went for a bike ride.  Then went to Dad's for lunch and dinner.  While Dad went thought his mail we went to the beach for a walk. Then got his favorite cake from Skidders.  Lin cooked chicken and potatoes for dinner.  The cake was very filling and good.

Tues. was my Dad's 89th birthday so we took him out to breakfast at Skidder's his favorite place.  We  got the rig and drove to Fort Myers Fl. Jim and Lana had poured a slab and got 50 amp. service. We played some cards and the girls won today.

Wed. we got up early and went to Linda's Dr. appt. She got her yearly bloodwork done. After we left the office we ate at Bagel Bagel and went shopping. It was nice to be back in Fort Myers and go to the old stomping grounds. When we  got back to the Perkins we ate, played cards, went for a walk, then watched TV.

Tampa RV show and St. Pete

Thur. Was a easier day for we had single units coming in. This is a picture of last year rally. We both worked in the afternoon.They had hamburgers, potato salad and chips.It was a rainy day and very cold.

 

That night we checked the people as they came to the show.  They were treated to large home made cookies.They had a 60's quartet they did a great job singing. We had a drawing for prizes here Linda is holding one of the prizes. 

 

Fri. we got up early and worked two hours then went and looked at the rigs.  That night I served the the left over cookies and Linda served ice cream sandwiches.  They had a  comedian for the evening entertainment and we gave away more prizes.Sat. We got to sleep in then we went back to see more rigs.  We went to the show helped where we could and we had a singing-comedian couple Ron and Kate.  We served cake and left over ice cream.

Sun. we served donuts to the RVers.  Then Ron and Kate did a church service.  We got the rig ready to leave.  That night they had pizza for us and we had a meeting about the week and how we could make it better.

                                                                        Mon. we left and went to the campgrounds near my dad. After we got set up we met Tammy and the kids at Sam's.  We  went to my dad's for a surprise birthday party.  After being there a while we went to the beach.  When we got back we had dinner and a cake.

 



Tues was the first morning we could sleep in an  we were up before 6!!! S0 we did the laundry, then went for a long bike ride then to dad's for lunch and dinner.  This is the sunset on the way home.

Wed. Today we did sleep in much needed sleep. We drove to dads after lunch.  For dinner he made pork chops in sauerkraut and mashed potatoes (yum yum). On the way home we saw the sunset then off  to church.  This has been a great week.

 

 

Tampa RV show

Thur. we got things ready for our work on Fri. and Sat. As a group we went out to a great steak place.  When we got back Lin and I went for a long walk.
Fri. we got up to start marking one of the three fields.  They had not delivered the paint yet so we waited about 2 hours then started.
Sat. we got a great start on the last field got most of it done. Ginny our leader took us out to Spaghetti Warehouse.
Sun. we got things ready for the group to do welcome bags for the campers coming. We had a meeting to get to know each other.  We got our laundry done and went to church.
Mon. we had our meeting then went out into the field to make sure everybody knows what they were going to do and that it was done right. We had a pot luck dinner and we played cards that night.
Tues we got up at 6 to walk and get going. By 7:30 everyone was in place and ready for the near 400 rigs we(56 of us) parked that day. I am a parker and Linda does the grid or takes down the people names after they get parked. It was a long day and when we were done we both were very tired. I went to the tent and got our dinners.  As we watched TV we both fell asleep.
Wed. another early start.  We did not have the groups just single rigs. We parked nearly 200 rigs.  The sun didn't draw the energy out of us today. They had sloppy joes with salad and mac and cheese for dinner. Then we got a small group to play cards.

 



Orlando Fl.

Thur. We enjoyed watching a movie last night with Branden. This morning we ate then played putt putt. Tam and the kids came here and Bryce played putt putt with us while Hope went swimming. We had lunch then played scuffle board. All three kids are quite good at it.Bryce spent the night and we watched a movie and had pop corn.

 

 

Fri. We made coffee cake and when we had everything mixed Bryce thought it was time to eat. The 30 min. it took to cook Bryce thought it was for ever. We went to the club house late for it was raining all morning. We played putt putt,checkers and Scuffle board. After lunch we did laundry, played cards, and went fishing. Later a movie and more pop corn.

Sat. we took Bryce and played putt putt, went on a bike ride.

Then met Tam and Hope at Hobby Lobby where we took Hope with us and Tam took Bryce home with her. After we got to the campground we went for a bike ride. We stopped near the rec center to see the RVs they had on display. Then a ride around the park. After a snack we played checkers and scuffle board. Then we went fishing where Hope and Linda caught the biggest and hope caught 5 fish. After dinner Hope made a Owl cellphone holder then coffee cake and we had pop corn when we watched a movie.

 

Sun. After Church we came home and ate and went fishing again.  I think Hope caught 4 more fish.  We packed up and drove to Tam's watched the boys shoot their bow and arrows,played cards, ate dinner then Kenn Ear waxed my ears. We drove home for a quite evening.

 

Mon. we cleaned the three compartments underneath the rig.  We got our mail and went through it and did the bills. And worked on updating the computer.

Tues. we did some shopping, laundry, bike ride. and went on a nice walk around the park.

Wed. we moved to Tampa for the RV show.  We will be helping with getting the fields ready and parking over 600 rigs.  We will be here for 12 days.

Hendersonville Tn.-Trip to Fa.-HAPPY NEW TEAR

Thur. We got up had breakfast in bed then headed to Hendersonville.  After we got to the campground and set up we went to Jen's.  We went shopping, played game, made a bench for their new table and the girls made cake pops.

Fri.We went to Jen's. Linda played with the Kids while I helped Chris with some things around the house. The Engstroms come over we had pizza and

Sat. We met Jen's family and drove to Pfunky Griddle where we got a plate and spatula and pancake batter.  We all got to get two toppings and had a ball fixing breakfast.  It was a neat restaurant.

 

We went back to Jens watched a movie then met The Engstrom's at Logans restaurant (for a year ago Logan went to be with the Lord) We left there and went to their home let some balloons go to heaven for Logan and had some cake.

Sun. After an hour working on the sewer line to get it unfrozen we were heading south.  The trip was easy the part we were worried about was Monteagel(picture below) and the only traffic was after Atlanta Ga. We parked and went back 11 miles to meet Carol and Heidi for dinner.

Monday we made it to Orlando Fl. We called the kids and found some were not felling well so we spent the night in bed and yes we did see the ball drop in Time Square.

 

Tues we got up and had our bible study and breakfast outside.  The weather is so nice. We drove to Tams and Kenn wrapped us up for a gift and they were surprised.

The kids all got bow and arrows so we took turns shooting.  They gave us walking sticks for Christmas so we took a walk around the block.

 

 

Kenn started a fire and we had smors. We gave the kids a puzzle where they draw what ever they want on it and color  it then it is a personalized puzzle.  We gave all three families one so when they get done they will send us a picture.

Wed we went to Tams I finally got the truck washed while Linda played with the kids.  Later they put on a skit for us they did a great job.  We danced with the wee fit(I keep the pictures to myself).
