Thur. we had our last day of sojourn for the week. It was rainy and cold so we did work inside the homes. Here Linda is doing some notes for me to get things for the house. I was very happy with the things that we got done this week. We have a great group of folks helping. One of the members Alice had her 77th birthday so we got an ice cream cake and celebrated. We also played cards girls won. Fri. We went to the place where we are getting our 5th wheel fixed and made an appointment, got the truck oil changed, and shopped at Lowe's for things next week. We played cards again and Linda won again.
Sat. we got up and drove on Natchez Trace Parkway Three of the guys drove motorcycles and I drove the truck. We stopped at French Camp and had lunch at French Camp Academy Cafe. Then went on a walking tour so we could make room for dessert. Linda got to ride on one of the motorcycles as we drove to Jeff Busby (which is on a mountain over looking the farms and country side). We went back to French Camp and drove to the Academy and the observatory. They were having there yearly weekend at the observatory it was neet to talk to the folks there and see there passion for the stars. On the way home we visited a campground.
Sun. After lunch we went to Corner Bakery Cafe had lunch then went shopping. Sun. night we went back to Lake Harbour Church of Christ and let them watch the sojourn tape.
Mon. We did our bible study with the sojourners then and guess what! We showed the sojourn tape to the staff. After a late start we were able to get one more window in and some work in the other house. Linda's crew got some cleaning done. At 7 we were invited to one of the homes for desert and coffee yum yum.
Tues. We finished putting the windows in, now the three doors we have to replace. The girls came and washed the windows we put in. Linda and the ladies went to one of the homes and put together some dolls she will be taking to Africa when they go to visit her son.
Wed. We worked on the flooring, put in a shelves, fixed a large dinning table and started to work on the speed bumps. You know the easy jobs turn out to be the hardest sometimes. The girls took the material off the dinning chairs. We went to Siwell Church of Christ in Jackson Ms. and Ronnie did the Dvd on Sojourning.
