On Fri. we drove to the Barksdale Air Force Base in La. Our friends John and Ellen drove us there for we were all hooked up to leave on Sat. We enjoyed the day and got to eat at Ralph and Kacoo's. We shared their seafood special a red fish, craw fish and shrimp.
We drove all day Sat. and got to Grand Ole RV Resort around 4 got set up and went to Jen's for pizza and dessert. Fred and Betty are here they came along with Addie and Kari. On Sunday we all met for lunch then we went to Jen's. they had bad weather alerts so we left late to get home to our area flooded. We were grateful that Linda got to borrow Mackenzie boots. On Monday I went to Jen's to help Chris get the kitchen table and benches ready for staining.
When I got home we moved to another camp sight then back to Jen's for cards and dinner.
On Tues. we were to go to Shannon's but ZZ and Linda were both sick. It gave me time to catch up on the blog and do other paper work. wed. was a much better day. We got up and left for Clarksville. It was nice to see the family. They had put a crock pot on and dinner was delicious.

Last Days in Hot Springs Ar. and back to Marshall Tx.
Thur. we went to Hot Springs National Park to Hot Springs Mountain. We went to the 216 foot tower. We had a great view and looked a the display on the history of the town.
Fri. we drove to Garvan Woodland Gardens run by University of Arkansas. The picture below is of the Anthony Chapel 138 feet long and 60 feet tall it has 1230 sq. ft. of glass skylights and 9860 sq. ft. of wall glass. It cost $5.8 million which was all donated.
The next two pictures are of the flowers, bridges, ponds, leaves, and the start of the Christmas decorations.

Sunday after church we drove to Marshall Tx. On the way we stopped by some corp of eng. campgrounds. We may stop sometime in the future. Since Monday was a holiday we did not do a sojourn. We did get alot of things done around the rig. We moved it so they could winterize the area it was parked in and I washed the truck. We drove to Longview got our hair cut and had dinner at Newk's. We did get back in time to play cards. The girls won both Mon. and Tues. Linda worked in the office and I helped with the add on to the pole barn on Tues. Wed. and Thur. As you can see from the picture below it was cold. In the high 20's on Wed and Thur.

Hot Springs Ar.
Fri and Sat we just laid around and got better. On Sun. we went to church then left for Hot Springs. We had a great trip below is one of the pictures of the leaves changing. After we got here we drove around and went to the information place. Then to Dinner at Bleu Monkey Grill we both had the Fire Cracker Shrimp.
The next three pictures is the view out our rear windows. Linda is enjoying watching the Good Morning America and the Today shows, her coffee, and the view out the window.
Mountain Valley Spring Water is headquarters here. We went through the museum and office.
There were statues and many murals in the city.
We had a potluck dinner here tonite. They supplied Popeye's chicken and drinks. We played bingo afterwards and Linda won a sun visor hat which she gave away. We then went to church and came out to 45 degree weather which Linda said she's ready to come to Fl. (well me to!)

We went to McClard's BarB-Q and had there ribs.They were nice and spicy.They were on the food channel.

Marshall Tx. our third week
Thur. we had a half day then the sojourn hug. We have enjoyed the meeting this year they had alot of good speakers. We played cards Thur, Fri; and Sat. nights. Got the car and rig washed on Thur and Fri. Sat we drove to Longview ate at Panera's. Sunday after church we went to Golden Coral for lunch. Sunday night after we got home Linda started to get sick. Mon. and Tues we started our sojourn here at Camp Bee. Linda worked in the office and I and four other guys dug up two large tree stumps. We got one out but the other one is giving us a fit. Tues. we got frustrated and started on the poll barn addition. We played cards both nights. Wed it rained all day we did not get any work done. Linda was not feeling well stayed home from church. We have enjoyed her home made soups.
Wed. and Thur. we worked on getting the phone working after our first one had problems. Linda still is sick (she lost her voice) and I have a bad headache. We rested in bed most of today both getting better.

Marshall Tx. second week
Below two pictures Linda was modeling one of the fruit of the spirits (joy) during talent night.
We went to Fairview on Friday to get some parts for the rig. The ring in the toilet stopped working and the handle on the screen door broke. After eating at a Mexican restaurant we drove to Jefferson here is the general store.
Below is Tyler Tx. The first set of pictures is the parade. It had over a 100 entries many school bands and floats. This was all part of the Texas Rose Festival since 1933.
When the parade was over we went to see the Roses and the Rose tea was taking place.
Below are some of the girls in there gowns.
When we left there we went to where they were having the girls jump horse show. We both enjoyed watching them.On Sunday after church we went back to Jefferson to a taste of the town. Here they charge you give you a plate and utensils stamped your hand and you went to where the restaurant were giving out food and they put samples on your plate. Below James and Jean are listening to one of the three places that had music. After church that night we played 14 a game like five crowns. Jean was the big winner.
We had classes again at night we had a sing along on Monday night. Tues we had our banquet. Linda and I helped cook and serve. It was alot of fun and they had a quartet come and sing. (pictures below)
