Clarksville Tn.

 Lilimarie has karate on Wed. (above). Diego has a sugarbabie and the family got one also.  They are so small they fit into you pocket.  Below Linda and I are leaving Lilimarie's school after lunch.  The night before she had a open house.

 The kids came and spent the week-end with us. Here Lilimarie is fixing waffles for breakfast. Below the boys found a frog, Diego had football practice, Linda and LiliMarie played cards at the pool while Xander, Diego, and I went for a swim.

     We had Lilimarie stay with us Sun. night for she was sick. She slept most of the morning.  We took her home and went and had lunch at Diego's school.  Linda made fish for dinner Yum Yum.

     What a great day we are having on Tues. The Alvarez family got Linda gift cert. for her 60th at three different places.  We had breakfast at Starbucks then to a hour massage ( was jealous so I got one two). The plan was to go to Panera's for lunch but we were both sooooo relaxed we went home for a nap. LiliMarie spent the night again for she is still sick.
     Wed. was pizza day at Xander's school so we joined him.

Cumming Ga; Josh/Ashley wedding, Linda turns 60, Clarksville Tn.

 We traveled to Cumming Ga.Bald Ridge Creek COE. Thur.  Betty, Fred, Mike, Pam, Carol, Mary, Josh, Ashley, Amanda, Dusty, and Heidi came over for pizza, smor's and a  campfire.  On Fri we helped with the setting up for the wedding.  Left for Hampton Inn for the weekend. When we got there we meet Diane, Ron, Michelle, Jeff, Jack, Alex, Trisha, Dan, and Brynn. Later that night we picked up Tammy at the airport.  When we got back Jennifer, Chris,Mackenzie Katie, and Hue (their foreign exchange student) were there. Sat. John, Al, Shannon, Lilimarie, Diego,and Xander stayed at another hotel. We took the kids for a  swim while Al and Shannon went out for there 11th anniversary. The Wedding was great even with the rain. On Sunday we went to Carol,s for Linda's 60th.

Our Last Week in N.C.

 We watched our last concert here called "The Flying Saucers".  We met Heather, Al, Bob, and Ramona at 12 bones (a famous rib place). After lunch went to a shopping center and had appetizers. While we were there a band from "The Salvation Army" came and played at the square in front of the restaurant. The drum section played first then the band.  It started to rain and did't let up till 10 min. after they were done.

After church we went to Joe's Bagel and had lunch. We got our hair cut and listen to "Joey & Brian Gurl" (picture below)that night at the club house. They played 30 thru 80 songs and did some skits with the audiance

We went for a ride and went back to Lake Lure. In the hotel built 1929 there were many old symphonion music boxs 

 After the hotel we rode along the lake then went to look at motor homes.

We are leaving tomorrow so we took time to get some apples which the orchards are just starting to open.
OOPS ! No pictures of the apple donuts they seem to disappear quickly!!!!.

3&4 week N.C.

Wed. night we were invited to the Bible Camp in S.C. It is one that is a Sojourn in May.  This is the water fall that leads into the lake they have.

We stopped by this large rock on our climb in Caesars Head State Park. It had great views. Below is one of the water falls along the road.

This was a 2.2 mile walk to Raven Cliff Falls.  When we started out we thought it was round trip. For what we saw we were not to excited about.

  This is called "Pretty Place" where many weddings
 are taken place.  It had great views and was very  peaceful.

We went to a blackberry patch and ate and ate we even brought some home where Linda made some bars.

 The next four pictures are of Hendersonville N.C. We went to the team ECCO Ocean Center and Aquarium. They also had a car show and concert with "The Crew".  If you look in  the RV you will see a bath tub.

 We went to see Heather (Sandy's daughter) & Al (Heather's fiancee). They have a large garden behind us, some goats and chickens.  They made some goat cheese and gave us some of their chicken eggs.

 

 The next four picture is our trip on the Blue Ridge Pkwy. We drove up to Pisgah Mt. and ate at the Pisgah Inn

 On the way home we stopped by the French Broad Chocolates and got "wired" for the evening!!!They had a liquid truffle which Linda only gave me one taste!! I had a choc.truffle cake that was great.

We were invited to Duncan and Linda's for pizza. Duncan sister, her husband,their father, two of their daughters and one of their husbands.

Above we went back to DuPont State Rec. Forest and walked about 7 miles as we went to see the falls.  If that was not enough walking we walked another 7 miles going to the North Carolina Arboretum.  We grouped and did several collages.

Below is some paintings that are done by artist using leaves,sticks and various flowers that they pound on the paper and it leaves color imprints. Some leave textures.. The middle one is a quilt that she did leaves which she pounded in leaving the outline and then it was sewn. Hard to explain but awesome if you could see them close up. Its called "papermaking"
