EASTER-Dad's-Alvarez's

Thur.  We got the car ready to go to Dad's.  On the way we stopped at a viewing of one of the older ladies.  On the way we stopped at the stores.  Linda has a menu for the week.  When we got to Dad's we had dinner and ice cream.  We played two hands of hand and foot.  Watched a movie then bed.

Fri.  We went to Skidder's for breakfast.  Went to Publix to get the items we didn't have yet.  When we got home we finished the game of hand and foot which Linda won.  We played pegs and jokers which Linda won(this has not been a good month for me to win).  We watched a movie then had dinner.  Before bed we played more pegs and jokers.  Yea the guy 2 Linda 1.

Sat.  We had breakfast at gramps.  We did our bible study then met Shannon and the kids at Subway.  We brought the subs back to Dad's and ate.  After lunch Lilimaire, Diego, Xander, and I went for a swim.  The girls came back then went shopping.  After about three hours of swimming we came back to dad's.  We had dinner and started the eggs boiling.  We watched a movie then colored  the Easter Eggs.  Shannon, LiliMarie, Diego, ZZ and I went to see the sunset.  After a long day we were all happy to get to bed.

Sun.  We all got up and went to Sunrise Easter Service at Fort Desoto.  We then went to Skidder's for breakfast.   When we got home we went on a Easter egg hunt.  After that I took the kids swimming then we had our Easter dinner and watched a movie.  Shannon and I went back to the beach to see the sunset.  It was a little better then the night before but still not the best.  When we got home we decorated the Easter Bunny Cake and ate fresh fruit and vegs.  Then it was time for the cake that was so nicely decorated.  We played pass the ace which dad won then to bed.

Mon.  We all work up late.  I made some coffee and LiliMarie and I made some coffeecake.  After breakfast we drove to Tampa to the MOIS (Museum of Science and Industry).  We spent the day there and found that we only went to one of the two buildings.  Sad part is that the one we missed is the one that we wanted to go to.   All three kids volunteered Diego was first and they did the Batman vs. Superman and he won a Superman's cape.  LiliMarie and Xander went against each other and LiliMarie won a Batman mask(top 3 left pictures below). We went in a wind and hurricane tunnel(right top and bottom pictures).  They had a butterfly building (bottom left 2) and went on a driverless car(bottom 3rd picture).  After we got home we had glorified ham sandwiches and leftover sides.  I took the kids swimming and Shannon, Dad and Linda played cards.  When we got home I joined them in pegs and jokers and Linda and won.  We finished watching a movie then all of us went to bed.

Tues.   LiliMarie and Linda made pancakes.  After breakfast  I took the kids swimming for an hour.  Before lunch the girls beat us at two games of pegs and jokers.  It rain this afternoon so we watched Dad's favorite movie "Tea House of the August Moon".  We then had dinner and the kids and I went swimming again.  I am thankful for heated pools.  After our showers we had strawberry shortcake and played 31.

Wed.  Shannon, Dad, Linda and I went out to breakfast at Skitters.  Afterward we went shopping.  When we got home we all went swimming.  We had lunch and watched a movie.  Dad stayed home and the rest of us went shopping for t shirts then we went to the beach to see the sunset.  On the way home we picked up pizza and ice cream.  After dinner we watched TV then to bed.

1000 trails-Eustis

Thur. This is when RVing is rough you think you can do something new and find out you do not have a clue what you are doing.  We called the driver instructor and it was so easy for him to make it all right.  We set out for 1000 Trails.  The drive was nice but it took awhile to get the front end of the rig leveled.  We finally got wood blocks under the front end and the auto level took over.  By the way HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY.

FRI.  We got our bikes filled with air and ready for a ride.  We met Steve and Cheryl near Winter Garden.  They have taken several miles of old train routes and made nice biking trails.  We biked a total of 14 miles.  While in Winter Garden’s we ate a picnic lunch then enjoyed a huge one scoop ice cream cone.  As we left town we went to the Plant Street Market where they were having a St. Patrick’s weekend festival.  We walked along the vender’s  outside then went inside to the vendors.  They have a Brewing company that has over 10 beers, a coffee bar that roast beans on site, bakery, butcher, and many more small shops. We finished our bike ride then on the way to the rig we stopped at Publix to get dinner.  After eating we played pegs and jokers which the girls quickly won four games.

Sat.  After our morning routine we walked the park they were having a yard sale.  We found some rope lights.  We then went an got our haircuts before lunch.  Steve and Cheryl are staying at Lake Louisa and had us over.  We went on a bike ride (5miles aprox.)and found they were doing a double iron man.  The folks are given 36 hours to complete it(any takers for next year??).  We talked to one of the helpers who won a triple iron man last year (7.2 mile swim—336 mile bike ride— and 80 mile run).We went to their rig and had leftovers and played pegs and jokers.  It was a struggle but the guys finally won three games to two.

Sun.  After church we went to Disney Springs caught the bus to Grand Floridian.  They were displaying their giant chocolate Easter Eggs.  The hollow chocolate eggs weigh 9 to 12 pounds and stand 16 to 20 inches tall.   When we got back we went to Dan, Trisha, and Brynn’s hotel.  Mike had driven them up from Fort Myers.  We had a nice visit with them then came back to the rig.  We had dinner then Linda beat me at two games of Farkle a dice game.  We had a bible study them shower and early bed.  

Mon.  We woke up to 50 out side whats going on??  We tried to take a bike ride this morning but  the wind blow right through us.  We did take one this afternoon.  We tried again with another Camping World to get service.  We are both getting feb up with them.  We did other paper work and played Farkel which Linda won two of the three games. 

Tues.  After a normal morning, we went on a bike ride. Then we made our phone calls getting campgrounds between here and the Winnebago factory in Iowa. We took a break and had our free Starbucks drink and went shopping.  After dinner I cleaned and Linda got some of her recipes for Easter Week.  We played Farkel tonight I won 2 out of 3.

Wed.  After a relaxing morning we started to get things ready for our trip back to CFBC.  The gps took us a much different route.  At times we thought the limbs on the trees were going to hit the top.  We got to camp and set up, talked to some of the sojourners that are still here.  We had lunch then got things ready to take to my Dad's.  After dinner we went to church then came home and played pegs and jokers which each of us won one.

Fort Myers/Mike and Pam's-Eustis-Lazy Days RV Driving School

Thur.  After breakfast at Skidder's we drove to Fort Myers. We went to Linda's yearly Dr. appt.  Everything with her was also perfect.  We went to a few shops then to Mike and Pam's.

Fri.  We watched a little of the morning shows the to Bagel Bagel for breakfast. We then shopped and went to Brighton's.  Went back to Mike and Pam's for rest then to Ted and Linda's for dinner. We played two games RCL and farkel (two different dice games which we liked playing both).  Linda and I were good guest we both lost all games.  Ted and Linda say they never have won farkel before.

Sat. Pam had to go to work today for she has next week off.  Mike Linda and I went to Craves for breakfast.  I had blueberry pancakes and Linda had a crab and snapper omelette.  It was good.  We dropped Mike at home and went shopping.  After we went back to Mike and Pam's we went to dinner at a Greek restaurant.  We came back and watched TV and played video games.

Sun.  We said our good bye to Mike and Pam and left for breakfast before church.  It was nice to talk to our friends at church.  There has been a lot of new folks that since we left.  After church we went with two of the couples to Roadhouse Restaurant.  It was the third choice, the first was two far for us to drive, the second was new and two busy and this one the service was fast and the food was good.  We drove about halfway and stopped at Dunkin Donuts for coffee.  We were 8 minuets late for church, we were glad we got there though.  When we got home Linda did three loads of laundry and I got the outside carpets swept, repaired and put away.  We were both tired and ready for bed by nine.

Mon. It was nice to sleep in and have coffee in bed while we watched TV.  After breakfast I got on the roof and cleaned the rig.  I was very happy the way it turned out.  I also cleaned the car and then got the bikes on it.  After dinner we played cards with two couples that live in the area and three that are here at the camp. Linda and I played pegs and jokers with two other coupes and the guys lost 5 to 1 (ouch).

Tues.  We had breakfast and bible study.  Then we got the rig ready to go to Lazy Days in Tampa.  We had a great trip and had no problems all day.  We got a voucher lunch so we went and ate at the sales building.  We get breakfast and Lunch tomorrow and breakfast on Thur.  We went for a afternoon swim, a picnic dinner, and played farkel a dice game(see the pictures below).

Wed.  We watched TV with cup of coffee then did our bible study.  We used our breakfast voucher's and went to RV driving school.  They taught a very informative class in the morning, we got our lunches and took them to the rig.  We were full from breakfast and had a salad for lunch. In the afternoon we drove their diesel pusher RV.  We both did well and as you can see from the picture below we both passed. Now we have to do our homework with putting dots on our mirrors to help us do turns. We took in two seminars they offered and now are brains are over filled with all kind of knowledge. We had one of the lunches they gave us for dinner. We played games before watching TV.

Mt. Dara Sojourn Finished-Mary for the weekend-more Dr.s

Thur.  We finished the sojourn today and got every thing done by one o'clock.  We went to the thrift store for the school and got some stuff(they give sojourners a 50% discount yea).  We got home and re organized the compartments in the rig.  Steve is getting ready to go on the Appalachia trail and Linda tried his back pac which is over 30 pounds(top let picture).  We played a new card  game called 3 with Steve and Janet then we played pegs and jokers guys won 2 girls won 1.

Fri.  It was so nice to sleep in and have coffee in bed while we watched the morning shows.  We did a lot of work today washing and waxing the car.  Linda got all the working clothes clean and put away. She also rearranged the rig and did some of the bills.  After dinner we played 3 then pegs and jokers which we both one one game.

Sat. As a group of eight we went to Perkins for breakfast.  We then met Mary then went strawberry picking(middle top pictures below).  We then walked around downtown Mt. Dora and found a vinegar store(top right picture) they have many different taste.  We went to a  city park(most of bottom pictures below)before going to a pizza place for calzone's.  When we got back to camp we played card game 3 which I came in 8th out of 8, Linda and Mary were in the top 5.

Sun.  Mary, Linda, and I went to church.  We came home went for a walk then grilled ribs for lunch(middle roe right picture).  Mary went shopping while Linda and I went to evening church.  We all met at the rig at the same time, had dinner, then played cards.  I was at one table and Linda and Mary were at another.

Mon. After a wonderful breakfast we took a short walk then Mary started to go home.  We did our monthly bills, bible study, and went shopping.  After dinner we played hand and foot and lets just say the guys got all the cards they needed.

Tues.  After our bible study and breakfast we drove to Dad's.  We had lunch then I started my prep for  my test on Wed.  We played hand and foot and pegs and jokers. Dad and I got just the right cards until the last game and there was no meeting Linda.

Wed.  I got up early for my prep.  I am so glad this is the last one I am getting a little sore. The picture below is me before my colonoscopy. We played pegs and jokers and the guys won overall.

Dad's-Dr's-2nd week at Mt. Dora

Thur. Ed and I worked on the cheerleader's closet and got the walls and ceiling done.  The door is ready but Ed has to run the elec.  I have to build three shelves.  Linda worked some more on putting shelf paper in a storage room.  We left work and drove to dad's. Dad had six DVD tapes that broke so I fixed them.

Fri.  I went to the GI Dr. and have a appointment next month for Endo.  Then to the heart Dr.s  She said I am doing fine and that I no longer have to take any meds.  We went to Skidder's to celebrate, we had  hamburgers and chocolate cake(middle picture below).  When we got home we played pegs and jokers.  Dad and I won first game then lost second game.  Then broke for dinner.  Watch more movies and played more games(bottom right picture).

Sat.  We got up and went to skidder's for breakfast.  We played more games during the day Linda won 4 games Dad and I won 6.  I worked on Dad's shower to remove old grout and put in new(top right picture below).  Linda took pictures of some birds bottom left two pictures.  We had Dad's sauerkraut dinner, released some balloons for it is Brighton's 16th B-day(2nd picture below bottom right,)  then left for the rig.

Sun.  It was cold when we woke up 40 outside and 48 inside.  We turned on the heaters.   One portable, one propane, and two celling heaters.  We went to church and on the way home shopping.  I helped Steve (one of the Sojourners) make a pegs and jokers game.  We went to church and got home to see the Oscars.

Mon.  We had another big breakfast at the school.  Linda painted all day and I made five frames for the shelves in the closet.  Ed got the elec. work done.   We got home ate then played pegs and jokers which guys 3 girls 1.

Tues.  Tonya one of the house mother made another great breakfast(middle picture below is after all 26 of have eaten).  Ed and I got the shelves up in the closet(picture bellow right top) and got a door on another project.  We now have one project left.  Linda painted the boys dugout.  After we got done we helped Steve and Janet use the drill press at the school and drilled there pegs and jokers boards.  Then after dinner we played pegs and jokers with them(girls 3 guys 1).

Wed.  We put the locks on one of the storage spaces but forgot to put the plywood under steps so will fix that tomorrow.  We got the frame work done on the last closet(bottom left picture) we have to put the door on tomorrow.   We took a couple to church  then home and bed.
